Abbot's Leigh

This wonderful hymn tune can't be made much better, though this descant does add a soaring line above the melody. 

The descant line usually begins after the melody in each phrase, making its entrance even more impactful. Some careful divisi at the end keeps the 2nd sopranos in a comfortable range while adding another harmonic layer.
